Model of Antonio Stradivari's "Mediceo" 1716

Built to commission for Mr. Rudolf Hanusch. The violin is inspired by the "Mediceo" model from 1716 — Antonio Stradivari's "G" form, on which he built many of his most famous violins of that period.

The body length is 356 mm. It also features the characteristic dark edge line that Stradivari applied to his new instruments, which gradually faded through wear over time. The instrument is finished with an oil varnish.
