Workshop with master violin maker Markus Klimke at the Czech Museum of Music in Prague
In March 2026 a five-day workshop was held under the internationally renowned master violin maker Markus Klimke. Over the first two days the master presented the complete process of building a violin on the Antonio Stradivari model, sharing many details and characteristics of it.
The following three days were devoted to practical work — each participant practised edgework and purfling, with one full day dedicated to drawing a viola mould.
3rd place for tone — international violin making competition in Prague
An international competition at the Museum of Music in Prague drew 28 makers from many countries. Oleg Semenukha was awarded 3rd place for tone and 16th overall, and was the second Czech participant.
The four-day event ran from carving a scroll on the A. Stradivari model through instrument and tone judging to the closing ceremony.

Meeting of the Circle of Violin Making Artists in Hradec Králové
In October the members of the Circle met in Hradec Králové, including a visit to the museum of the Petrof piano factory, followed by a members' meeting and a friendly dinner with a cimbalom band at the Hotel U Královny Elišky.

Participation in the international violin making competition in Cremona
Participation in the prestigious international Triennale competition in Cremona, Italy, with a competition viola on the Tuscan-Medici model.

Guided tour of historical violins at Dobříš Castle
On Saturday 14 August 2021, Dobříš Castle hosted a guided tour of Italian, French, German and Czech violins led by violinist and expert Jaroslav Svěcený. Oleg Semenukha gave a demonstration of violin making. Photographs by Alena Tučímová.

A celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Circle of Violin Making Artists, with an exhibition of members' instruments that also featured a violin by Oleg Semenukha.
